Isodore Mason

A Time to Be Born

Isodore Emmanuel Mason was born on June 6, 1959, in Stuart, Florida, to his loving parents, Wetta Bell Mason and George Marks.

A Time to Plant

He received his formal education at Martin County School District in Stuart, Florida. He furthered his education at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, with a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences. He later became a Data Center Director with the Department of Health in Palm Beach County.

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was united with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He later joined St. James Missionary Baptist Church under the direction and leadership of Rev Dr Tony Drayton.

A Time to Grow

Isodore was united in holy matrimony with Sherry Smithson on January 19, 1992, in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Isodore enjoyed playing chess. He was a part of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity with the Iota Delta Chapter of Florida State University.

Isodore enlisted into the United States Navy in October 1983 as a Fire Controlman. He was honorably discharged in March 1987 as a 2nd Class Fire Controlman.

The Department of Veteran Affairs employed him as an ITA Clinical Imaging Analyst for a length of 10 years.

A Time to Rest

Isodore departed this life on April 5, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wetta Bell Mason, and father, George Marks.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Sherry Mason; daughter, Fatilya Kitchens (Brandon); brother, Wille Waters (Velma); sister, Lucille Robinson; sister, Henrietta Jackson (Ardis); sister, Amelia Whitehead; brother, Livingston Mason (Kathy) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
